Have you checked out Soundfriend yet? It’s a blog that asks music leaders from across the world what they are listening to. I think it’s a great idea and way to learn how arts gets amplified and programmed by the folks working directly in the field. Head over to their website and get all sorts of inspiration. My pick from last week:

I can’t get my ears off this mix curated by electronic rumba combo ÌFÉ‘s founder / director Otura Mun for Manana Cuba – a non-profit festival connecting Afro-Cuban Folkloric music with the pioneers of the International Electronic music community, currently raising money on Kickstarter. Contribute and make it happen! Otura takes us on a sonically spiritual trip through the Islands, threading the connections between his loves, Cuban Rumba and Jamaican Dancehall. Talk about cross-island conversations!

Pro-tip read fellow Soundfriend, Bev’s coverage in Remezcla where she talks to the founders about the festival!
