GLOBAL LOCAL is co-powered, traveling-community activation bringing together visionaries who are breathing new paradigms into existence. In it’s fourth year,GLOBAL LOCAL: Austin will include live performances from Ferguson-based rappers Tef Poe & T Dubb-O, native rock band from South Dakota Scatter Their Own, Bronx-based hip-hop collective Rebel Diaz, cumbia band Buyepongo from Los Angeles, spiritual rapper Queens D. Light from Oakland, indie folk singer currently on the show NBC show “The Voice” Gabriel Wolfchild, out of Oklahoma is Quese IMC with native and mexican roots and more! With a special focus on DJs and beatmakers as well, sets from Riobamba & DJ Ripley of Brooklyn tropical bass crew Dutty Artz, Philadelphia-based genderqueer dj, musician, and media activist Precolumbian, Sol Collective’s new co-op label Sol Life introduces El Indio, Eric Tagg and Wisechild from Sacramento and more. Live art conducted by muralist crew Trust Your Struggle, Kalakari and LURAC. Local artisan vendor pueblo powered by Mujeres Mercado from San Antonio, organization tabling, #NoMoreStolenLives meet-up/workshop, #CultureFix tweetstorm and non-GMO seed giveaway.
